The Indian Army is going to conduct the written examination for Agniveer to recruit approximately 25000 individuals for the posts of Agniveer General Duty, Technical branch, Agniveer (Technical) (Aviation & Ammunition Examiner) (All Arms), Agniveer Clerk, Agniveer Tradesman (8th & 10th Pass).
The exam is scheduled to be organized in April 2024. The official notification for the Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2024 was released on 09 February 2024. Following the notification, the application process began on 13 February 2024 and the deadline for it was set for 22 March 2024.
Agniveer Army Selection Process
Written Examination- Candidates must first appear for a written examination, the pattern of which varies depending on the post applied for (General Duty, Technical, Clerk, etc.). The examination assesses general knowledge, mathematical skills, reasoning, and subject-specific knowledge.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)- All the shortlisted candidates from the previous test, take the physical fitness test, to get their fitness level evaluated. It includes a series of physical activities such as running, push-ups, sit-ups, and a cross-country run.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- After clearing the PFT, candidates undergo physical measurements including height, weight, and chest measurement to ensure they meet the physical eligibility criteria for the role they have applied for.
Medical Examination- A detailed medical examination follows, conducted by authorized military doctors. This examination checks for any underlying medical conditions and ensures the candidate is medically fit for military service.
Document Verification- Candidates who pass the medical examination must then undergo document verification. To get the authenticity of their submitted documents checked.

Exam Pattern
General Duty
For the General Duty post, the exam pattern is as follows:
- General Duty requires passing marks of 35.
- For each correct answer, you’ll receive 2 marks.
- For each incorrect answer, there will be a penalty of 0.5 marks.
